Who we are

Oroomi is the controller of the personal information described in this notice. Our website address is https://oroomi.co.uk. You can contact us about privacy at hello@oroomi.co.uk.

Information we collect and why

  • Orders and customer accounts: your name, contact details, delivery and billing addresses, order history and account details. We use these to perform our contract with you, provide support and meet our legal accounting and consumer-law duties.
  • Personalised artwork: photos, wording, crop choices and preview files that you provide to create a personalised product. We use these to perform our contract with you. Artwork files are stored privately and are scheduled for deletion after fulfilment; the current live-site retention period is 15 days.
  • Payments: payment providers process your payment details. Oroomi receives payment status and transaction references but does not store complete card details.
  • Emails: your email address and consent record if you join the launch or marketing list. We use this only with your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time using a link in an email or by contacting us.
  • Security and operation: IP address, device and technical request information may be processed in server and security logs. We use this where necessary for our legitimate interests in keeping the service reliable, preventing fraud and diagnosing faults.

Who we share information with

We share only the information needed with service providers that help us operate the shop, including our website host, WooCommerce services, payment providers such as Stripe or Amazon Pay when selected, delivery providers, and our print fulfilment supplier. We may also disclose information where the law requires it or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

International transfers

Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, we require an appropriate legal safeguard, such as UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum. Contact us if you would like more information about the safeguard used for a particular provider.

How long we keep information

We keep order and transaction records for as long as needed for customer service, tax, accounting and legal requirements. We keep account information until the account is deleted, subject to records we must retain. We keep marketing consent records until you withdraw consent and for a limited period afterwards to honour your preference. Server and security logs are kept only for the operational period set by our providers. Personalised artwork follows the shorter retention period described above.

Cookies

The site uses cookies that are necessary for the basket, checkout, account security and core operation of the shop. We will ask for consent before enabling any non-essential analytics or advertising cookies. You can also control cookies through your browser, although blocking necessary cookies may stop the basket or checkout from working.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict your information, object to its use, receive a portable copy, and withdraw consent. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that happened before withdrawal. To make a request, email hello@oroomi.co.uk. We may need to verify your identity.

Complaints

Please contact us first so we can try to resolve your concern. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

We may update this notice when our products, providers or legal duties change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
